Thermocycler manufacturers
The market offers a variety of real-time thermocyclers. They are grouped in two types: open and closed. Closed systems are, in principle, more comfortable for the final user, but do not allow any control over the analytical process. Microbial recommends the use of open thermocyclers, which allow the detection of the maximal number of bacteria, and the free choice of the detector (kits). In addition, open systems allow the implementation of other techniques such as GMO detection or analysisi of food adulteration.
The main open systems in the market are:
Stratagene (Agilent Technologies)
Applied Biosystems
StepOnePlus™ Real-Time PCR System
Corbett (Qiagen)
Eppendorf
